Play Together, Learn Together, Work Together
In late 1999, following advice from CCEA, the Department of Education gave the go ahead for a review of the Northern Ireland Curriculum and its assessment 'to meet the needs of young people, society, the economy and environment in the 21st Century'. In June 2004 the Minister for Education gave approval for the Key Stage 1 and 2 and Post Primary Revised Curriculum.
The revised curriculum became statutory for years 1, 5 and 8 in 2007 and in 2009/10 was statutory for all year groups in Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4.
We at St. Peter's deliver the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
